DARK IN THE PARK

The Frights of Seaside Heights

Stillwalk Manor

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this ride, and most of the back of Casino Pier, was completely lost to Hurricane Sandy on October 30th, 2012.  Our sympathies go out to the people that built and maintained this classic ride.

In the summer of 2004, we returned to Seaside Heights, this time to visit Stillwalk Manor located on Casino Pier.  This is a ride-through haunted attraction without some goofy cartoon horror theme or a ridiculous looking pirate character.

The ride was larger than a typical metal haunted attraction that would be pulled by a tractor and shipped in from Germany.  It was fashioned after a haunted mansion complete with a story about the family of Captain James Stillwalk and how the house came to be haunted.

This sign posted outside Stillwalk Manor describes the story behind the ride.  This idea is very similar to the Disney World Haunted Mansion.
